Chennai: Four fishermen, who fell into the sea
after their boat capsized, were rescued by the marine commandos
of the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services (TRNFRS) department
today.
Police sources said, the four fishermen, who ventured into the sea
for fishing early in the morning, were returning to the shore when
the boat capsized due to high tides.
Acting on information, a six-member TRNFRS marine commandos
team, who were stationed at the Marine Beach Rescue outpost on
the shore, equipped with buoys and life jackets, swam into the sea
and rescued them.
Bringing them to the shore turned out to be a challenging task as
all the four fishermen were entangled in the fishingnet in the impact
of the capsize.
Two of the fishermen were badly injured and were admitted to
a hospital.
