Sant Kabir Nagar (UP): Four members of a family were killed when a pickup van in which they were travelling collided head on with a stationary oil tanker in Baghia area on the national highway on Sunday.
Police here said that a family from Rudrapur in Deoria district were returning to their native place from Punjab when the accident occurred.
The accident happened at 0600 hours when the pickup van hit the stationary oil tanker near an over bridge in front of a petrol pump.
The deceased included Sandeep(30) ,his wife Guddiya(28), their sons Sunny,(10) and Abhinau (7) and mother-in -law Tara Devi(48).
The driver of the pickup van was injured in the accident.
