New Delhi: The prices of petrol and diesel rose again for the second consecutive day on Sunday.
In the four metropolitan cities of the country the prices of petrol and diesel rose by 35 paise and 26 paise respectively.
According to the leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, on Sunday the price of petrol in the national capital Delhi rose by 35 paise and 25 paise and reached the highest level so far of Rs 98.46 and Rs 88.90 respectively.
In the month of June the prices of petrol and diesel have increased by Rs 4.23 and Rs 3.75 respectively. Before this the prices of petrol and diesel had risen by Rs 3.83 and Rs 4.42 in the month of May.
In the financial capital Mumbai the prices of petrol and diesel rose by 34 paise and 26 paise and have reached record levels of Rs 104.56 per liter and Rs 96.42 per liter respectively.
In Chennai the prices of petrol and diesel rose by 30 paise and 23 paise respectively and have reached Rs 99.49 per liter and Rs 93.46 per liter respectively.
In Kolkata the prices of petrol and diesel have risen by 33 paise and 25 pasie respectively and reached Rs 98.30 per liter and Rs 91.75 per liter respectively.
The prices of petrol and diesel are reviewed everyday and based on that every morning at 6 am new prices are fixed and implemented.
