Rajasthan assembly speaker CP Joshi reached the apex court of the country against High court’s interim order. On last Tuesday High court after hearing ex-deputy Chief Minister Sachin pilot’s case categorically ordered the speaker not to take any action against 19 rebel congress MLAs till 24th. As court being a part of the constitution it should remain within its constitutional limitation, was the prayer in SLP filed in Supreme Court by the speaker Mr Joshi. Chief Justice S A Bobde’s bench ordered to hear the SLP on Monday clearly mentioning that hearing on High Court will run as usual. On the other hand rebel leader Mr Pilot filed caveat in Supreme Court to give them a chance to hear before delivering judgement. After all, the interesting point was that the apex Court at the time of preliminary hearing asked a question which certainly more important for democracy. Court questioned that speaker being a non party man, for whom all parties are equal why he preferred to file SLP. Also Joshi’s lawyer argued that to dismiss MLA is a constitutional provision which can’t be challenged in any Court. Supreme Court’s comment, High Court’s Order, speaker’s SLP & rebel Congress leader’s caveat as a whole can be summed up within three words; that is, “Gehlot without Pilot”.
