Haldwani, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Tamta on Tuesday said that Congress General Secretary and former chief minister Harish Rawat should be made face of the Congress for the Uttarakhand Assembly elections to be held in the year 2022.The same has been conveyed to Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, he said.In this connection, Tamta gave the example of Haryana that had Bhupendra Singh Hooda been made an electoral face at the right time, the Congress would have been able to form the government. Talking to UNI, he stated that he had also informed the new Congress State in charge Devendra Yadav about his opinion and Mr Yadav also pointed out that the achievements of the former Congress government led by Harish Rawat and that the inefficiency of the present Trivendra Singh Rawat government would be brought to the public. Rajya Sabha MP said that as a Congress worker, he had the right of expression and if the Leader of Opposition Dr. Indira Hridayesh and Pradesh Congress Committee President Preetam singh has a different opinion on this matter, they are also entitled to express their views. Tamta, in response to a question related to the return of 12 rebel leaders in the Congress, said that Congress leadership says that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was responsible for the abduction of public opinion under a well planned conspiracy and the BJP and the conspirator are equally guilty in this act. If,however, the National leadership takes any positive decision on the question of return of the rebel leaders, then we will support the decision.
