Light And Sound Show At Konark Temple Resumes Today

Konark: The Konark Sun Temple here is all set to amuse visitors again as the light and sound show at the architectural marvel will resume today after a pause of nine months owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. The show was stopped from mid of March following  the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown. It will resume this evening in adherence to all COVID-19 guidelines. The temple authorities said two shows of 40 minutes duration each will be held everyday. The first show will begin at 6:30 PM followed by the second at 7:30 PM. The sitting capacity per show has been capped at 200. “Sitting arrangements will be made keeping in view the social distancing norms. Sanitization and thermal screening of the visitors will be done at the entry point,” said an official. It is pertinent to mention here that the light and sound show at Dhauli here began in September in adherence to all COVID-19 protocols.
