Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area has formed over central parts of Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood which is likely to cause rainfall in several districts of Odisha till October 23, the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasted. “Under the influence of cyclonic circulation over central parts of Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, a low pressure area has formed over the same region with associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level. It is likely to become more marked. It is likely to move initially northwestwards during next 48 hours and then north-northeastwards during subsequent 3 days,” the agency said.

October 21: Yellow Warning- Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and Balasore.
October 22: Orange Warning- Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Ganjam and Puri.
Yellow Warning- Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore and Jajpur.
October 23: Yellow Warning- Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and Balasore.
