Kolkata,A major fire broke out at a local market in Kacharibazar of Baruipur in South 24 Parganas district on Tuesday. Seven fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the blaze, which was still raging. Several shops were gutted in the fire. The total estimate of damage is yet to be ascertained. Though the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, prima facie short circuit was stated to be the reason.
