Aurangabad, The Marathwada region in Maharashtra reported at least 1,231 fresh cases of COVID-19, which is highest since the first case was reported across the eight districts in last 24 hours, authorities said on Sunday.The eight districts of the regions reported 22 fatalities till late Saturday night, taking the the total number of fatalities to 1,048, while COVID-19 tally in the region mounted to 31,509.At the same time 20,000 patients have been cured pf coronavirus and discharged from hospitals. The remaining active cases are undergoing treatment at different hospitals and COVID care centres in the region.The official data collected from all the district headquarters by UNI stated that Aurangabad district recorded the highest 377 positive cases and 13 fatalities, followed by Nanded with 114 cases and 2 deaths, Jalna reported 36 cases and 5 deaths, Osmanabad reported 232 cases and 1 death, Latur 181 cases, Parbhani 81 cases and Hingoli district 7 cases and one death.
