Marathwada reports 250 fresh COVID cases, 3 deaths

Aurangabad, The eight districts of Maharashtra’s Marathwada region reported 250 fresh cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, the health authorities informed on Sunday. The region also recorded three deaths due to coronavirus during the same period.Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI show that out of the eight districts of the region, Aurangabad with 62 cases 2 deaths was the worst affected, followed by Beed which recorded 28 new cases and 1 death, Nanded 55 cases, Latur registered 48 cases, Osmanabad 20 cases, Parbhani 16 cases, Jalna 14 cases and Hingoli 7 cases.As per the official data, 3,940 more corona cases and 74 deaths were reported across the state during the past 24 hours, taking the state’s tally to 18,92,760.Meanwhile, 3,111 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries across the state so far to 17,81,841. With this, the state’s recovery rate has now gone up to 94.14 per cent and the death rate stands at 2.57 per cent.According to the health officials, so far a total of 48,648 patients have succumbed to the disease in the state and 61,095 patients are currently undergoing treatment across the state.
