Bhubaneswar: In a good news amid alleged shortage of oxygen for critical COVID-19 patients, the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) has decided to fill up oxygen cylinders for hospitals free of cost in Odisha, informed Dr. U S Awasthi, Managing Director & CEO, IFFCO. “Those wishing to avail the service need to bring own cylinders for free refill. Security deposit will be required if cylinders taken from IFFCO to avoid hoarding of oxygen,” said Awasthi.“IFFCO’s 4th medical oxygen plant in Paradeep will fill 520 big D type cylinders daily and 200 medium B size cylinders on demand supplied to hospitals free from 15th June,” he said. “IFFCO has ordered its 4th oxygen plant for free oxygen to hospitals in nation’s service with capacity of 150 Cubic Mtr/hr in its Paradeep unit. It will produce 520 cylinders per day, which will commence by 15th June,” he added.
