OJEE Entrance Test Begin

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE)-2020 and Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) commenced today at various centres with adherence to COVID-19 norms. While the OJEE will continue till October 19, the CPET is scheduled to conclude on October 22. As many as 79,800 OJEE candidates will appear for the exam at 54 centres in 21 cities/towns across Odisha. Besides, five centres have been set up in Ranchi, Patna and Kolkata. The test will be held on CBT mode.

Similarly, the CPET will be conducted at 26 different centres across the state while around 62,000 students will appear for it. The Common PG Entrance Test is being held for the first time in Odisha for admissions into PG courses. Candidates infected with COVID-19 will be allowed to appear for the entrance exams in isolation rooms. However, COVID-19 positive examinees will not be allowed for OJEE. Only 50% of the total seating capacity will be utilized in all the OJEE centres to ensure that gap is maintained between consecutive candidates.

In case, any candidate appears to have high body temperature or any other COVID symptom, he/she will be allowed to appear the exam in a specially created isolated hall, provision for which (@ 5% of capacity) will be made available in each OJEE venue.
