Puducherry,  In a  bid to provide financial assistance to various drama groups and artists here during COVID-19 period  the school and Department of Performing Arts of Pondicherry University in association with Department of Art & Culture, Government of  Puducherry and South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur (Ministry of Culture, GOI) jointly organized ” Online Drama Festival 2020″.According to PU release here on Monday, in this process the Department of Art & Culture has initiated a Five days drama production on various social themes from  November 23  and performed at Studio Theatre, Department of Performing Arts. A total of  27 drama groups consisting of 300 artists from all over the Puducherry region performed  their drama and all the 27 plays are going to be videographed and proposed to  be released in social media.Director of Art & Culture  P.Ragini has inaugurated the Festival at the Pondicherry University on November 23 and said that the Department of Art & Culture is ready to collaborate with School of Performing Arts in future Endeavour and collaborate with Faculties, Scholars and Students of the Department of Performing Arts of PU.
