PM departs for Ayodhya

New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday morning left for the foundation stone laying ceremony of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Prime Minister’s Office, sharing a picture of Mr Modi clad in Dhoti and Kurta (traditional wear), said, “PM @narendramodi leaves for Ayodhya.” Prior to the function, the Prime Minister will take part in Pooja and Darshan at Hanumangarhi, a few kilometres away from the main event. He will then travel to Shree Ram Janmabhoomi where he will take part in Pooja and Darshan of ‘Bhagwan Shree Ramlala Virajman’. Afterwards, he will plant a Parijat (night-flowering Jasmin) sapling and subsequently perform the bhoomi pujan. Mr Modi will also unveil a plaque to mark the laying of Foundation Stone and also release Commemorative Postage Stamp on ‘Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir’.
