New Deli: The Centre on Friday said that it has relaxed the public procurement of supplies required for containment of COVID-19 global pandemic from the applicability of Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order, 2017.
The relaxation, aimed at easing supplies during Covid-19, will remain in force till September 30, 2021.
For sourcing of Covid-19 related supplies, the government has temporarily relaxed last orders giving preference to companies whose goods and services have 50 per cent or more, he order issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said.
