RT-PCR negative report mandatory for passengers travelling to WB

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) on Friday said that the West Bengal government has made it mandatory that all passengers coming from outside the state and detraining in stations falling in the state of West Bengal must carry RTPCR Negative certificate conducted within 72 hours of the departure of the concerned station due to spike in Coronavirus cases.

Accordingly, as per the destination protocol advised by Government of West Bengal for COVID-19, all the passengers travelling by trains to any station in West Bengal are here by advised to carry RTPCR Negative certificate without fail, a South Central Railway release here said.

All the passengers are also advised to visit Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website before commencing their journey about the protocol to be followed at any of the destinations in that state.
