Mumbai: The Rupee on Tuesday dropped further by 16 paise to close negative at 73.45 against the US Dollar on brisk demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said. The local unit that rose by 7 paise to 73.22 in opening trade, later it erased earlier gains and finished
at 73.45, tumbling down by 16 paise as compared to its previous close. The Rupee was seen weak because of firm Dollar against other world currencies inspite of strong equity market, dealers added. The rupee registered intra days high and low at 73.49 and 73.20 respectively, he added.
