Mumbai: The Rupee on Thursday registered a massive gain of 59 paise to end strong at
73.59 against the US Dollar on brisk selling of US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit that rose by 21 paise to 73.55 in opening trade, surged by 59 paise to finish at 73.14 as compared to its previous close. The Rupee went up because of weak Dollar against other world currencies amid robust equity market, dealers added. The rupee registered intra days high and low at 73.60 and 73.10 respectively, they added.
