New Delhi, Notwithstanding the reopening of the Taj Mahal and some other famous monuments across the country in line with the Government’s nod to all sorts of gatherings, Delhiites would be ‘deprived’ of assembling of people till September 30.According to Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), all political, social, religious, sports, entertainment, cultural and other related activities are prohibited throughout the National Capital till September 30.A clarification in this regard was issued by the DDMA on late Monday night.Marriage-related gatherings are restricted to 50 persons and funeral and last rites-related gatherings to 20 persons, the clarification noted.Informatively, Indian Youth Congress has planned to gherao Parliament on Tuesday against the Centre for passing farm bills and over unemployment.Several Congress supporters, led by Delhi Congress chief Chaudhary Anil Kumar, held a demonstration near Parliament on Monday.The Delhi Police on September 16 had sought to know from the DDMA with regard to political functions planned in Delhi.Besides social and religious gatherings, nod to political gatherings has assumed a new dimension eyeing two coming State Assembly Elections-Bihar in November and Bengal in April-May, 2021.
