T-Hub 2 will be ready by this year-end : Minister


Hyderabad, Telangana Minister for IT and Industries K T Rama Rao on Wednesday clarified in the Assembly that the 3.50 lakh square feet facility T-Hub 2, being built at a cost of Rs 276 crore, will be ready by this year end.Answering a question raised by members in the house, Mr Rao said this facility being built at Rayadurgam, on the outskirts of the city, can incubate 1000 startups at the same time.The Minister said that the T-Hub which was established in November 2015, has transformed as the largest and the best technology incubator in the country.”The number of startup companies has increased from 400 to 2000 plus and the T-HUB encouraged 400 companies to launch corporate innovations,” he said so far 1120 startups have garnered Rs 1800 crore as investment and provided employment to over 2500 people.Mr Rao also clarified that the T Hub concept will also be extended to two tier cities and in fact, Hubs are being established in Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Khammam and Warangal cities which would concentrate more on social and rural innovation.We will also showcase success stories in corporate innovation, he added.
