Bhubaneswar: People of Odisha will heave a sigh of relief from heat wave as rainfall is likely lash many parts of the State for three days starting from today.
The thunderstorm may occur in southern, interior, coastal and north coastal districts of the State from today afternoon till morning of April 5.
According to India Meteorological Centre, a trough runs from Odisha to North Interior Karnataka with an embedded cyclonic circulation over south Odisha & neighbourhood and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level. Despite a little drop in temperature across the State yesterday, heat wave conditions prevailed at one or two places over the districts of interior part of the State.
The Bhubaneswar MeT issued yellow warning for many districts till April 5.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Khordha, Nayagarh, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Balasore, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha
Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40- 50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Khordha, Nayagarh.RELATED POSTS
