Washington, Jan 9 (UNI) Twitter has permanently suspended US President Donald Trump’s account claiming he may use the micro blogging platform to incite violence, said in a statement by the company.
The official release by the company late on Friday said
“After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence,”
Twitter claimed Trump’s tweet that his supporters have a “GIANT VOICE long into the future” and that “They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!” may be an indication that he does not plan to facilitate an orderly transition.
According to Twitter plans for future armed protests have started to circulate on and off Twitter, including a second attack on the US Capitol and state capitol building on January 17.
President Trump had nearly 90 million followers on his Twitter account relied heavily on it to communicate with the public during his presidency.
