UP: SIT to submit report in Sudiksha death case in three days

Bulandshahr, Two days after Sudiksha Bhati died in a road accident which led to the Opposition cornering the government and the IG’s subsequent intervention, Bulandshahr police have formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) which will present its report within three days, police said on Wednesday. The girl from Greater Noida’s Dadri, who was pursuing her higher studies in the United States, died after her two-wheeler met with an accident in Bulandshahr district on Monday.Acting Superintendent of Police (SP) Atul Kumar Srivastava here said that police have registered a report in the Aurangabad police station in connection with the case. On the other hand, an SIT constituting three people, including the Circle Officer (CO) and two Inspectors has been formed to investigate the allegations of the family. The SIT will present its report in three days.Based on a written complaint furnished by Sudiksha’s father, police have registered a case against unidentified motorcycle-borne youths under IPC Sections 279, 304 A, 17, 184 and 192.
Bhati was going to a relative’s house in Aurangabad with her uncle when her vehicle collided with another bike in Bulandshahr. She is believed to have died on the spot. Her family members have said that she was riding pillion when two bike-borne boys started harassing her and began performing stunts, which allegedly led to the accident.Sudhiksha was a meritorious student and had bagged a scholarship to study abroad. Twenty-year-old Sudhiksha Bhati had topped her intermediate exams and was studying at Babson College in the US. She had come home for holidays and was to return to the US on August 20.
