New Delhi, Farmer and Labour organisations across the nation took to the streets on Thursday against the alleged anti-farmer and labour laws, policies of the government.Supported by the left parties, around ten labour unions have called for this protest, wherein BJP supporter Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh has boycotted it terming ”politically motivated”.
Bank employees are also part of the protest which has affected the banking services. Across various private and public banks around 4 lakh employees are taking part in this one day pan India agitation.The labour unions include , Indian national Trade Union Congress, All India Trade Union Congress, Hind Mazdoor Sabha , Centre for Indian Trade Unions, All India United Trade Union Center, Trade Union Coordination Centre, Self Employed Women Association, All India Central Council of Trade Unions , Labour Progressive Federation and United Trade Union Congress.A total of around 25 crore employees are taking part in the demonstrations.
