Yuvraj Dhamale seeks CBI inquiry against Sanjay Kakade

Pune, City based businessman Yuvraj Dhamale has sought CBI inquiry against former Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) Sanjay Kakade for allegedly issuing deaths threats to him over phone. Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Dhamale sought a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry against Kakade, who happens to be his  brother-in-law. Dhamale had lodged an  FIR against Sanjay Kakade at the Chaturshringi police station on Monday.

Chaturshringi police on Monday booked Kakade and his wife Usha (Dhamale’s elder sister) for allegedly defaming and threatening to kill the complainant Dhamale. He also alleged that he was threatened by the couple over a business rivalry in August-September 2018. Meanwhile,  Kakade has said  that he was not been informed about the FIR against him  by the police. He  said that it is necessary to probe who called the police and pressured them to lodge the FIR. “Cops should verify allegations before the FIR. This is a political game. I will file a defamation case of Rs 100 crore”, said Kakade.

He claimed that an investigation into call records of the police officers will unearth political links, adding that he will request the chief minister, deputy CM and home minister to depute a special police officer to look into the case.
